Jayanagar

In collaboration with FAME school for differently-abled children, the parents' group attached to FAME and other special schools in the neighborhood, Kilikili has been involved in a project to convert a park in Jayanagar R V Road into an accessible play space.

The Municipal Commissioner of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike, Dr. Subramanya, has sanctioned Rs. 20 Lakh for the development of this play space. Since the original site is being acquired for the Metro Porject, we are now on the lookout for an alternate site where this project can be carried out.

Jeevan Bhima Nagar

In collaboration with a group of volunteers from Thought Works, a software company, Kilikili has begun a project to make a park in Jeevan Bhima Nager an inclusive one. The initial consultations with all stakeholders including children, parents, teachers, rehabilitation professionals has been held, with the children expressing what they would like in their Dream park.

The findings of this consultation have been used to develop the design concept for the park. We are currently in the process of securing the requisite permission from the BBMP.

Whitefield

Kilikili, in partnership with a dynamic group of parents and volunteers- Sahaya - is involved in a project to make the Inner Circle park in Whitefield inclusive.

The initial consultations with children and their parents and teachers have been completed. The design is being drawn up and will soon be submitted to the Corporation.
